One Secret To Getting What You Want

Last week  I told you about one of my passions, The Make-A-Wish Foundation. Today I want to share with you one of the traits found in all highly successful individuals and that is their willingness to give. This giving goes beyond charitable causes, they also give to their clients, customers, and many others along the way.

They find ways to give without expecting anything in return. They provide tremendous value, because they are truly interested in helping people. They understand that at some point, someone helped them and they want to return the favor by giving back to others.

You see this is a giving Universe. Many things in your life are there for your enjoyment and you don’t have to do anything. Things that you take for granted, the air you breath, the sunlight, trees, flowers, plants, all are there for you free of charge.

There is an abundance of resources at your disposal, including sales and the income that comes with those sales. All you have to do is to be willing to give first without expecting to get anything in return.

Now I know what you’re thinking, you’re in this business to make money, however, like one of my mentors once said to me, “when you stop treating people like a commission, that’s when you will make the most money”.

What are you willing to give? Are you providing your customers with tremendous value with your product or service? Are you willing to give advice without receiving compensation for that advice? Are you willing to refer a prospect to someone else when your product or service is not the right fit? Do you help other salespeople when they come to you for help?

I want you to think as you go through your daily tasks this week, how can I give to others without expecting anything in return? I guarantee if you start giving to others, it won’t be long before the Universe will reciprocate and give you your hearts desires.
