Beware of The Vampires Dressed Like Sales People

If you're new here, you may want to subscribe to my RSS feed. Thanks for visiting!

Quite a few years back I went to a sales management seminar and the speaker was talking about the three types of sales people.

1. Sponges - New sales people soaking up everything.

2. Spectators - Sales people who hang around the office complaining about everything and anything.

3. Camels - Top producers

He went on to warn us to keep the sponges away from the spectators. There are a lot of spectators around today talking about how bad the economy is and how things are going to get worse before they get better.

Don’t listen to them. Avoid them at all cost. There like vampires, they’ll suck the life and sales blood right out of you.

Bob Beck, Trusted Advisor or Plagarizer, You Be The Judge

It has come to my attention that another sales trainer, Bob Beck has been plagiarizing other sales trainers articles and putting his name on them.

Skip Anderson in his Selling to Consumers Blog has links to three sources that show some pretty damning evidence.

I also found another incident on Colleen Francis Engage Selling Solutions Blog.

I am very proud to be part of an industry that provides such a great service to sales people all over the world. When someone blatantly does something to tarnish what I love so much, I have to step forward and spread the word.
